It was created by Shigeru Miyamoto. It first game was an arcade game known as Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong threw barrels at Jump Man aka Mario. At the time Jump Man was a carpenter. He had to save Pauline by jumping over the barrels, pass through dangerous enemies, and jump your way through different level.

Then came Super Mario Bros. It was a hit! It became the best selling game of all time! Mario and his brother Luigi had to go through 8 worlds, to save Princess Toadstool.

After the two most famous games came out Tv shows, trading cards, and food had come and Super Mario Bros. is the #1 video game series!
